Ballard is a wonderful community that has a large residential population. It was a city that started in 1890 and was incorporated into Seattle in 1907. Since then Ballard has kept its historical name and branched into the northwestern part of seattle. It is made up of 12 different Ballard neighborhoods and are all referenced as Ballard or the Ballard area from 105th to the canal and the Puget sound to 99 (Aurora). It's close proximity to downtown Seattle have make it extremely popular.
Some of the neighborhood streets are characterized by city blocks with lovely sidewalks where you may enjoy a quiet afternoon walk.
